Aspergers Symptoms and Family Interaction
When I was in college, I had a teacher who has a son diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. She shared her story with us because our lesson was about the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and we discussed about Aspergers symptoms. She related to us about how his son lives each day with the condition Asperger’s Syndrome. She told us that her son was very intelligent to the point that he was considered to be a genius. He learned to talk at the age of two years old, and at the same age he was able to memorize the alphabet from A to Z and became familiar with numbers as well. At the age of five years old, he was able to draw a picture of a jungle because he always watch the Discovery channel. But there are some limitations that her son encountered, especially with emotions and interaction. Her son is not interacting well with the members of the family.
